Hog Roast Woodchurch served a particularly exciting menu which is certain to tantalise the tastebuds! It began with a rather tasty appetiser, a super delicious main course which was followed by seriously indulgent desserts. The menu was served on environmentally friendly bamboo crockery with bamboo cutlery for the hosts and guests to experience a more ethical and rustic style of dinning. The fancy menu is what Hog Roast Woodchurch likes to call their ‘Alfresco’ menu.
Hog Roast Woodchurch served this flavourful menu for the lovely Joyce and Paul who were celebrating 10 years of blissful marriage. Joyce’s parents run a lovely quaint family farm so in order to celebrate, a marquee was popped up in a spare field, a vision of picturesque greenery as their backdrop – beautiful.
The food kicked off at 1:30pm with the antipasti appetisers. A rustic wooden board beautifully displaying gourmet cheeses and fine meats including salami, prosciutto and parmigiano. The meats and cheeses were served with artisan breads and a delicious spread of tasty stuffed mixed olives, stuffed sweet peppers and juicy sun-dried tomatoes.
The appetisers were followed by hilarious speeches which was equally sentimental as they were funny. As the final speech came to an end, Hog Roast Woodchurch was fully prepared to serve the main course: a whole pig that had been slowly roasted on low heat for 8 hours. The slow and low approach produced succulent pork and seriously crunchy crackling. To accompany the pork, Hog Roast Woodchurch had made some flavoursome sage and onion stuffing. In addition, a classic mixed salad, a creamy coleslaw and cherry tomato and buffalo mozzarella with fresh basil leaves was on offer, as well as buttered new potatoes served with fresh chives.
To finish Joyce, Paul and their guests could choose between two divine desserts. The first was tart de citron, an incredibly zesty and light treat and the second was a simple but flavour-filled vanilla cheesecake. Served with double cream.
A tasty menu for a lovely couple.
