Hog Roast Wantage Handled A Woodland Wedding!

Wirral may be a bustling metropolitan zone famed for over 800 years of industrial heritage, but there’s a lot more to the borough than first meets the eye.Surrounded by stunning landscapes and hundreds upon hundreds of acres of untouched woodlands, Wirral is littered with hidden gems that remind us what a privilege it is to call this place our home.

One of the greatest things about our job is that thanks to our customers and clients, our team regularly gets to explore the parts of Wirral that we ordinarily wouldn’t see, and that’s one of the things we at Hog Roast Wantage love most about running a catering business.

Just last week, we had the honour of helping Cassie and Darren with their wedding. The pair had spent months searching for the perfect venue and several months more on turning their vision into a reality.

Hog Roast Wantage was delighted to help the couple with their big day by serving a rustic meal plan, which matched their remote woodland venue perfectly.

The spot Cassie and Darren had chosen for their nuptials was nothing short of magical. The space was teeming with vibrant flowers and hanging garlands, which added an air of enchantment to the venue. Fairy lights and lanterns were used to add warm lighting, and the tipi-style marquee made the event feel cosy while offering shelter from the elements.

Hog Roast Wantage To fit with the vibe of the celebration, Hog Roast Wantage had chosen to serve our Southern Slow Roast Menu on this occasion, which gave the guests plenty of dishes to pick from. These included BBQ pork butt, Cajun-spiced whole roast chicken and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs with vegan BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls and vegan coleslaw.

Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, mac and cheese and seasonal green leaf salad were also on the menu, along with gluten-free rolls, wraps and a wide selection of sauces and dips.

As this was a wedding, Hog Roast Wantage finished the service by slicing and dressing the couple’s wedding cake in fresh cream and berries, which was a big hit!

Most importantly, the day was everything Cassie and Darren could have hoped for – and more! They had so much fun celebrating with their guests and were delighted with the menu Hog Roast Wantage served!
